Today was another great morning, kids were up and ready to goto school all on their own. :)
Day seemed pretty quiet until Amity came home. Today she had detention for being mouthy with the teacher. Said she had trouble concentrating and focusing on things expecially while they were writting her spelling test. So the issue today. How to punish her when she has already been punished at school for detention.
I am not really good at punishments, I tend to be a little soft.. ;) But we talked about it, heard how she was feeling about it and why she was feeling that way. Then I sent her out side to pick up the apples that fell from the tree and dump them at the deer pile. Then when she come back in we talked again about what would of been the better solution and what should she do if she is really upset or mad.
Guess my questions I always have is what is acceptable punishement.
Say O' My
Life the way we see it, and how it affects our daily lives as a family.
Meet the quitest member of our family.

Thursday, one day closer to Friday. :)
Today started off wonderful. I got up and came upstairs from basement to check on the progress of the kids in getting ready and when I got upstairs the lights were off and all was quiet. My first thought was that the kids were still in bed. But figured that couldn't be it.. lol
So I went to the bottom of the stairs and hollard upstairs for Amity that is was time to come get ready. Thinking that she has about 15 minutes left to brush her hair and brush her teeth and do what every else she was missing. She came to the top of the stairs and said she was ready. I almost couldn't believe it..... Her hair was brushed, she said her teeth were brushed and she even had socks on. They were cleaning the room again............ Totally amazed at this little girl today. :)

Ready for an arguement.... and things that make you go Hmmmmmm?
This morning, Amity made her great nans bed. I think the talk around here about Kayla doing it before and surprising her helped her motivation. Surprising how they respond to things like this without even asking. :)
Today was my turn to take and drop all the kids off at school. Dropping them off in order of Kayla, Amity and Josh. Althought I was ready for an arument from Josh because I was told that he had complained before because he wanted to get to school and hang out with his friends. Since his school goes in the latest it is only reasonable that he be dropped off last. So to my surprise as I am driving out to drop off the second child off and nothing is said, Not a question, not a whine or anything.. Which left me going Hmmmmmm.

Today is toonie Tuesday.
Today is toonie Tuesday!!
We are currently a family of six. About 2 weeks ago we were a family of 5, but we have a visitor staying with us at this time.
It was a great day, today was the first day of our sticker reward chart. Kayla age 8 and our guest Amity age 10 have a list of chores that need to be completed each day. They both successfully completed them with only a bit of trouble at bed time..
Sticker Days Include Chores of:
1. Make bed
2. Get dressed & pick up cloths
3. Listen when talked to
4. Dont talk back
5. do not argue
6. Clean up room/toys
7. Do homework
8. Get off computer when asked
9. Go to bed when asked
I know this does does not seem like much, but we are starting with the basic as Amity is not use to doing any of it. Kayla is not bad at most of it, but we can't address one child without addressing the other one. :)
